The TCA8000 Timing Server is a Primary Reference Source (PRS), or Primary Reference Clock (PRC), that provides unparalleled timing accuracy and hold over using OCXO as the local oscillator. This Primary Reference Source functions as an IEEE1588-2008 (PTP) grandmaster clock and delivers PTP packets across IP networks.The TCA8000 Timing Server accepts a GPS signal from a variety of manufacturers' antennas and provides antenna power via an attached RF cable.This Primary Reference Source uses highly accurate Precision Timing Protocol (PTP) technology. The TCA8000 Timing Server performs timestamping in the hardware, and provides wirespeed PTP with unparalleled accuracy, while decreasing vulnerability to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. In the event that a direct connection with the GPS is interrupted this Primary Reference Source maintains Stratum 2 synchronization with the use of a local OCXO oscillator.Because of its integrated platform, the TCA8000 Timing Server replaces previous generation equipment at a lower total cost of ownership. The network timing distribution capabilities of this Primary Reference Source reduces the need for expensive Cesium timing elements in the network.
