The TCA6500 Timing Client receives IEEE1588-2008 timing packets over an IP network, and delivers ITU Stratum 3 clock outputs to synchronize legacy and next-generation equipment in a cost-efficient flexible platform. The TCA6500 network sync product also accepts a GPS input as an additional source of synchronization for specialized applications that require it.The TCA6500 network sync product is designed as a network edge timing device that accurately distributes ITU Stratum timing over IP or MPLS networks when used in conjunction with the Juniper TCA8000 or TCA8500 time synchronization server.The four output signals available include 2x T1/E1, PPS/PPM/PP2S and 10/5/1 MHz formats. The TCA6500 network sync product provides legacy timing outputs without the use of local GPS and supports key performance indicators including one-way and roundtrip jitter and latency measurements with a resolution of ± 1-3 microseconds.The TCA6500 network sync product can be mounted in either a 19" or 23" rack, requiring 1RU for 2 units mounted side-by-side.
