The WLC800 Wireless LAN Controller brings massive improvements in scalability for 802.11n wireless LANs. Designed for today’s high-density, high capacity 802.11n deployments, it provides 8 Gbps of throughput and the headroom to support up to 128 802.11n access points that are capable of supporting three spatial streams.While it offers centralized line-rate forwarding, the WLC800 also supports distributed data forwarding which enables superior performance for real-time applications. The WLC800 may offload policy enforcement, deep packet inspection, and data forwarding, to access points for optimized traffic flow, reduced latency, and scalability.Features:Seamless Mobility:Up to 64 WLC Series Wireless LAN Controllers of any size may be grouped together to form a single Mobility Domain that shares user session information between member controllers, allowing users to roam seamlessly from access point to access point, indoors and outdoors, even across different controllers, without ever needing re-authentication.Nonstop Wireless Availability:The WLC800 can also be a member of a Virtual Controller Cluster, which can be comprised of up to 32 WLC Series Wireless LAN Controllers of any size. Juniper Networks' unique Virtual Controller Cluster provides many-to-many resiliency for each controller simultaneously in service without needing hot-standby controllers, enabling nonstop wireless availability with hitless failover for all sessions, including voice. This feature also allows in-service upgrades, adds, moves, and changes with zero downtime.
